HUSHCO BUTTONS |
DORSET BUTTONS, also known as Chinese laundry buttons are made of 100% cotton. Originated by Abraham Case of Dorsetshire of England, Dorsets were made from the middle of the eighteen century to the middle of nineteen century. They are made of wire rings (washer), are flat, and were done by lace makers. Variety of designs have been made. They are considered to be the very first thread buttons. Though they are fully dyeable, we recommend that you let us dye the thread before producing the buttons, thus providing a uniform color throughout. Below are three of the four designs that we offer. We are not limited to the colors, and can provide dye-to-match product for production. We have sample quantity of the white ones and some of the two tone ones. However, for production, please allow time, as they made to order. CLICK ON THE IMAGE FOR MAGNIFICATION |
